Todd J. Treangen, Ph.D. CEO and co-founder. Dr. Treangen brings over two decades of expertise in microbial genomics, bioinformatics, and pathogen identification. Dr. Treangen received an NSF CAREER award focusing on detecting previously unseen pathogens and has prior experience on several large-scale projects focused on the rapid identification of bacterial and viral pathogens. Dr. Treangen is motivated to improve clinical outcomes and public health through innovative approaches for rapid detection and characterization of known and previously unseen microbial pathogens.

Michael G. Nute, Ph.D. CTO and co-founder. Dr. Nute will leverage his wealth of experience in bioinformatics and computational biology to lead the technical aspects of Train Genomics, specifically the development of accurate and scalable bioinformatics methods and results validation. In addition, Dr. Nute will provide key expertise in marketing, finance, and other areas of business related needs.
